IT STARTED with The Storyteller...
I’ve always considered myself a bit of a storyteller, and whenever I tell fellow Foo Fighter, Dave Grohl or Nirvana fans about all the amazing memories I’ve had with the band, the first thing people always say is:

Dave Grohl & the Foo Fighters - Shaping Rock History
This documentary dives into the heart of some of these adventures I've had as a fan. Stories about Dave Grohl and the Foo Fighters that I have told over and over again for the last twenty plus years. Whether you lived through the music in the 90's through the early 2000’s or you’re just discovering this powerful music for the first time, this film takes you on a fun journey through my memories!
The 1990's was a decade that redefined rock music forever. With its raw sound, rebellious attitude, and deep emotional lyrics, grunge rock took over the airwaves and changed the way the world listened to music. Bands like Nirvana, Alice in Chains, and Soundgarden brought a new kind of energy to the stage. It was loud. It was real. It was unforgettable.
I had never been to a concert before… I never had a reason to. It wasn’t until I blasted Nirvana on my parents stereo for the first time that I knew Nirvana was going to be my first one. Unfortunately, when tragedy shook the music world my dreams of hearing Scentless Apprentice, School and Smells Like Teen Spirit live, vanished. I loved not only Nirvana, but Dave Grohl’s drumming as well.
After Nirvana, no one knew what would come next for Dave Grohl. Many expected him to disappear from the music world. But instead, he surprised everyone. By summer of 1995, word got around that Dave Grohl was releasing a record. He recorded the entire album by himself, playing every instrument and writing every song. That album, released in July of 1995, proved that he wasn’t just a drummer—he was a talented musician capable of writing music that broke boundaries and connected with people across the globe.
The Foo Fighters were born and so began the memories of attending live shows, following the band around the country and eventually… living every fan nerds dream. Meeting your heroes face to face.
I also wanted to honor my mothers memory as well. We shared a passion for music and she was always very supportive of me following the band on tour and pursuing my dreams. It wasn’t unusual for a newspaper clipping about the Foo Fighters or Dave Grohl to show up in the mail while I was in college.
